LoL, what happens when you get tix in the USA for speeding? can you just ignore em and not pay them? Everytime I cross over there I go 200KM/h (average) on the I-5
My understanding is that excessive speeding is handled completely different in the US. Typical speeding is just a ticketing offense, but excessive speed (I can't recall what level that is... 40 mph over?) can result in immediate arrest. I believe it is considered a criminal offense, not a traffic offense, resulting in jailtime.

Streamline, sorry to hear about your day. The biggest problem is how 'inconsistent' cops can be. One will completely ignore you, the next may run you over the coals. Sounds like you met an irrational SOB. I would never expect a cop to waste anyone's time for driving 110 in a 100 zone. Absolutely insane.

Never pass a cop??? I could not disagree more. I pass cops all the time. Regardless of my car. I encourage people to pass cops. I've even laid on the horn intensely at the odd cop that was driving erratically (imo). I certainly don't let their behavior dictate how I drive. You act normal and I think they leave you alone.

What I think the worst thing a person can do is look a cop in the eye while driving . It's like you never look a mad dog or bear in the eyes as the beast sees this as a potential threat to its power OR as a sign of fear. In either case, it attacks. Just like a traffic cop.

Hey Streamline, at least you didn't get a ticket and that's what counts on your driving record. F-bodys are cop magnets. I saw a cop at 4:00 am at a red light coming towards me. Probably shouldn't have been driving after partying but felt I was okay. Anyways, this cop didn't have there headlights on. I flashed my headlights at him and he waved at me going by, we laughed pretty hard cause we where a little worried about getting pulled over.

The Caravan is just to quick to go under 90mph

The highlight of the trip when that cop seen the garbage bag...."Mind if I take a look in the back..........That looks like a package of BC bud..........Oh it's just Camaro carpet "

Streamline: It seems you got pulled over by a complete *** just trying to make an example of you. I am sure he didn't give you a ticket because if you were to dispute that you could easily win.

I do agree with this (very well written Camaro ChriSS). Whenever I am in a similar situation, I just look ahead with a confident look (like I am not doing anything wrong) and this seems to work. When I was younger I got nailed a few times by stupid cops simply for looking at them the wrong way... they thought I was up to something. Good thing they never seem to be around when I am really up to something
