i also went about 200 km/h in a 79 straight 6 pos mustang. that was scary. buried the speedo and kept on going. untill i felt like i was floating and then i was like oh **** and slowed down. that is probabyl the stupidest thing i have done. it was just like floating over everything.

According to a road racer on Ls1tech our cars need 550hp and aero mods for the 200mph mark (not sure if thats rwhp or not). Having big fu*king gonads helps too. 200mph is way easier said than done. Someday.....

I cant wait.

Ill offer take Shauns car up to top speed any (dry) day . I dont think the power will be a problem, it should pull to about 5000rpm in 6th before it slows down. Raise the back of the car and lower the front and the nose will stay planted.... we hope

i think the key to this thread isnt how fast you can get your ride but how fast it can get to that speed. my top speed is about 128-130 mph max rpm! but from a stand still i can get from 0-130 mph (0-210 kph) in only 18.9 seconds (timed)

Had an old 77 trans am with a slightly reworked motor (10.5:1 compression etc.) , auto and 2.73's.

I went 240km/h+ in that thing many times, I think the absolute fastest was on the island with pesky red in blue lights in the rearview which just got smaller and smaller.

150 MPH and right now it looks like im the only one who can prove it with a picture
i did it on highway one and hit 150 right as i passed the 232nd exit. just me in the car and my camera i was quite pleased at how straight it went with one hand on the wheel and one takin the picture but i forgot to turn the flash off so i blinded my self a bit in such a dark car.` did it in 5th gear

150 and I have video proof! Had the camera focused on my scan master flashing between 150 and 151. Probably not the smartest thing to do

Since my last post I have done over 225km/h... ran out of road or I would have kept going. I was beside a convertable 81 Trans Am. Nice car... he pulled into the gas station with me after and I asked him what he had under the hood. 454. Holy crap! Then I found out it was a TT 454! I said to him "OK, you were just f'in with me!!". lol

I also went flat out at 242km/h on freeway 1 with my previous MR2 turbo, 12psi (factory 9?) and no muffler,

My LS1 reached 160mph fuel-cut without a muffler, freeway 1 near coquitlam Toys R us. scary ****
