97TA, I remember reading on aero a while back. If it takes you 100hp to go 100mph, it will take you 800hp to go 200mph. I guess I need more power for the 200 club.

I thought our cars ( ls1 SS and Trans am ) are governed to 162 mph . I read over on ls1.com they pulled the governer and got aprox 167 - 172 mph out of em stock on a closed coarse type deal .

Here's a BAD one!!!!!

In my buddies 95 Z we went 250ish on the east west connector. The worst part was we were partying down town and we drinkin. I had ALOT more then him but he had probably just enough to be illegal. But I do remember telling him that we might be going to fast so he slowed to 170 We ain't that smart. I have never drank and drove in my car though.

Fastest I have ever gone is about 135mph, but that was not in my Camaro (it's way too slow for that), downhill on the I205 bridge.

It was in my 1975 Ford Granada 4-door.

Oh ya it had a juiced 460 in it at the time...

Sometimes I really miss that car.

Indicated 148 (238 for our northern friends) and still pulling. Who knows how accurate the speedo is at that range, though. I know mine reads 3mph fast from 35-75, but never bothered to check it at higher speeds.

That was before the gear change, so who knows what it does now

I would recommend the Kelowna Connector. Traffic is minimal, the road is basically straight, and I have rarely seen highway patrol. I cant wait to hit that one.

the cops on the connector are usually on the bridges and will have either their trunk or hood up

with the 3.42's in my 79 Z and the th350 i got her up to about 128-130mph i was hitting about 6500-6600rpm in top gear, i could go alot faster if i had another gear, but thats good enough for me. for the 1/4 that mph is good enough for a low 10

Hey Shaun, you do realize your car is capable of over 200mph right? When do we get to see that?
