not for u man

longtubes are better .. but not for someone like u .. not yet at least

and longtubes dont make passing emissions any harder if they have the cats intact

Longtubes are not "needed" until maybe 400 - 450 rwhp. No bnefit to be gained until higher power levels.

Exactly, and even then I wouldn't get them. Too much of a headache for too little gain. At least on a street driven car.

Yes, the best headers for you will be my MAC's when ever I decide to take them out. Don't rush into anything plus buying from me will save you an a$$ load in shipping money.

Keep that in mind and no more stereo stuff!

I have had Macs, Hooker LT's and now SLP's.

Seen some top end gain from the Hooker LT's compared to the MAC Headers, although nothing worth the hassle of ground clearence and air care

Now going from the LT's to the SLP's I would say I didn't notice any difference, other than the fact that it sounded better with Long Tubes Three things to consider, future plans, cost, fitment

Buy Armen's MACs and be done with it!:P I bought the LT's and it has been a domino effect just trying to make that purchase worth while

The MAC's are the easiest headers to install and best plug access. You don't even need 1 3/4's header for your use. Start saving up.

Gee, you guys got me thinking? I was checking-out different long-tubes for my firehawk. I feel like I can handle some more power. I don't want to do anything internally on a newer LS1. There's LS6 heads and cam that will definetaly put me over 400hp. At 345hp right now I have a MAF sensor and smooth bellows that might give another 10hp. Some headers claim to make gains of over 40hp but I have the dual-dual catback and I'm thinking I'd be lucky to get 20hp more out of longtubes. You guys are right, it's just might not be worth it.
