Shipping a car across Canada

I shipped my car from Newfoundland to Calgary when I left home.
It was done via train once it hit the mainland. I can try to dig out the receit for you, but I thin it was done by RHL shipping.

Hi all,
Over the last 3 years I have shipped two cars from BC to Ontario and one from Ontario to BC.
The best route to take is by rail. There are a lot of different companies that co-ordinate this through Searail and other carriers. Make sure you get a closed container.
I paid $750 each time with several different companies (taxes in).
L.Hansen's Forwarding (Vancouver 604-540-6360) is the company I used with best results.
Just make you stress how important it is for you that the car is taken care of.
For what it's worth my car was broken in to and the wheel block removed causing damage to the nose. They covered all repairs and replacement of the deck. (This was directly with Searail).

Thanks for the advice guys! Searail is quoting 700 + taxes which sounds very reasonable. I will make sure to get that closed container.

Yo Todd, what's wrong with a coupe?
I've been looking at a few 50th anniversary vettes that are left on the lots. If you got anything bad to say about them I'd like to hear it. I love the Z06 but it only comes in hard top.
New Z06 and vert are getting out of my price range but I could get a great deal on a coupe. I still think the new vette is the best bang for the dollar in the world.

Coupes are slightly heavier then hardtops and a little less rigid, so for racing the hardtop has the edge.
Also top off on a coupe is nothing compared to top down on a vert, so the vert has the edge.
The coupe is basically a jack-of-all trades but a master of none. However there is still no denying they are great cars for the money since they usually go for much cheaper the convertibles.

The only thing i didnt like about rail was it shook the car to **** and when i got it the car had a lot of new rattles. However it was a 80 turbo TA and the tightness of the Z06 shouldnt bother it much.

Weird , I like the coupe's the best . I dont like the hardtop because the back end cuts off funny and its way too tight inside for me . Ive never been a vert person so the top would be up alot and there also very small inside . I love the glass like taga top and the coupe back end . They look very exotic with the targa out like a ferrari and are sleek as shiat .
