Hi guys. Just a reminder that I'm planning on trying and dropping the engine in this weekend and a few extra hands would sincerely be appreciated. I'll be starting at 9.00 AM both days.

Wish I could make it Shaun. I have a 94 here I am ripping into today to do new heads and cam. Not to mention I have a 94 Y-Body here that I have the motor and trans out of. Add to that a Rock crawler transfer case and a Racing Power Glide and I have a Busy one.

I can't wait to see your run with the new combo! You GOTA break those old 01 numbers!

 

I dunno its starting to rain out here, I don't particularly like driving in the rain.

 

2001 That seems so long ago. Running out of excusdes now Ellis. Going in this time is the new bracket, pulleys and hub for the blower as well as an electric vacuum pump.

Well, motor going in went well. Headers, plugs valve covers all went great. Exhaust, drive shaft and shifter installed. be were making GREAT time.

Got stuck on the intake though. Needed to spend some time on that, but thanks to Mike's (Zedzag) experience, got the intake on now.

Tomorrow will be the top of the motor and the front. I dunno, MAY get it started tomorrow.

I cant believe we got the motor/tranny in, and the headers/plugs on in 2 hrs!

If anyone is coming today. I have to go and find a REALLLLLLLy small torx head screwdriver to re&re the opti parts (couldn't they freakin use a philips screw )
