Rhino Ramps or similar
Rhino Ramps or similar
I know this has been discussed before and people suggested Home Hardware and Canadian Tire, but I cannot find a ramp big enough for 9-inch + wheels (and to lift the tires 8 inches or so). This is for driving onto rather than using jacks for working.
I know Rhino ramps are out there, but where?
I have tried Lordco, Mopac, Canadian Tire, Princess Auto, and Home Hardware, but none have even heard of Rhino Ramps. Nor do they have anything bigger than 8 inches. i don't want to buy them online because for their cost, the shipping charges would be more than the ramps.

Just build them out of wood. Shoudn't take you more than an hour. Just make sure that you make a lip around the top seat that is>9" on the INSIDE and cut the ramp portion at an angle. Oh yeah and use screws not nails.
This way you can make your ramp's incline to ur own specs. Use 2x10's or 2x12's and the size will be perfect.

Show me where I can slap down $80 and get a pair of ramps with less work.
I'm just so bloody busy right now that if I have to build the ramps, I'll be lucky if I get the headers in before Sept 8th. I just want to avoid jacks stands too.
I might resort to building my own though...
WooHoo! Found some! And, they are $80 precisely, just as I mentioned above!
Went to a 4x4 shop and they had a pair sitting there. Said they had them there for 5 years cuz no one wanted them...

Thanks Larry. The Home Hardware I spoke with didn't know about them (and defintely had nothing in stock).
But is that price right? That's less than most of the US$ prices I see on the net.

That's what I paid a couple of months ago. The clerk didn't know they were in his own catalogue until I showed him. I called 'Blitz' the company that makes them and they told me where to look. I don't have the cat. anymore, but if you can get a copy maybe you can get the shop you bought them at to rebate the difference to you? If you return yours, they take about a week to order in at HH. Good Luck
