That was a decent night out, less the delay on Fraser. When I saw that officer crank a u-turn, I was a little concerned. Then when he barricaded us off the highway, I was thinking, well this sucks.

Perhaps a little less action in public places such as that is advisable. Though admittedly, we didn't do much and were quite civil. Just happened to be the wrong type of noise (or smoke) at the wrong time.

Twitch, that cam is truly stealthy.

Why did the cops turn around for you guys? It couldn't have been for noise, speeding or no front plates, we would never do anything like that. Hey, where's a pic of my ride?

Yes, it was kind of ironic that they took it so seriously when in actuality we really did nothing in the parking lot worth noting. I'm sure if most officers saw what we were like and doing, they would have pretty much ignored us (well, maybe ).

But as soon as they get a phone-in complaint, I guess they have no idea what they're dealing with and have to assume the worst. I can picture the guy at Guildford probably feeding 911 with info such as a bunch of punks doing smoke shows, destroying the pavement... my wife is having a coughing fit because of the burnt rubber... my baby hasn't stopped crying from the terrible noise they are making... they're really trying to hurt someone... etc. You know how it goes. None of it true, but how do the police know that unless they are there. Someone phones in and paints a vey nasty and exaggerated image of us. I guess that's why f-bodies have a bad rep. Some folks are just looking for an excuse to get us in trouble.

Based on this, the first cop was likely thinking "I have a bunch of young idiots who need to be taught a lesson." I think he realized different by the end. Or at least the other two officers did.

I guess in some ways its a good warning sign. Even if you are not doing anything, people ASSUME the worst of cars like ours, and ASSUME we are idiots, etc... so at the slightest WOT burst in a public area, there is the risk of this type of thing occurring.

I assume none of you guys got ticketed cause we're a bunch of good old boys just cruising around for a good time. If the heat pulled you guys over way down by Fraser highway they must have the wrong guys or they were waiting for half the detachment before pulling the gang over.

I got the vids too, Dave's header/exhaust combo sound wicked and Craig did a nice spin followed by a huge bloom of smoke. No wonder we all peeled out after that. I burnt a donut on the way out and some pedestrain told me to "do it again." But I new we over-stayed our welcome at Guildford. I watched the vid when I got home and one thing that really impressed me was all the nice upgraded tires with chrome mags.
