Really sucks!!!!
i see, can you still walk over the border on the beach like you used to be able to when my dad was a kid and lived there?
i wouldn't think you would be able to but that would save a lot in duty and or gst and stuff you might have to pay at the border
or just boat it up

I hate using UPS... their fees are rediculous. I use USPS, and haven't had much of a problem. No tracking number is kinda scary though. If I were to buy something that was worth more than the little crap I was buying I would definately use a method that provided tracking.
Yeah but sometimes our yankee friends don't want to pay that extra 2 bucks for a tracking number. When we send something out from Canada it gets a tracking number but not the other way around. What a load of ****..

Since we're all on the topic of shipping. Let's each give a brief comment on which companies we've had good and bad experiences with. I'll start.
CanadaPost/USPS - Always the cheapest, never had a problem. Takes 7 days for anywhere it seems.
UPS - Lousy and expensive. Always deliver late in the day.
Purolator - Kinda expensive, but nice staff and I never seem to get charged for any tax or customs crap. When you get a delivery, they're banging on your door at 8:30AM.
Fed-Ex - Have only used them once. But were quick. How are their customs charges? Anybody?
