I agree with Drumhawk that the price is rather steep.

When I bought my 2000 SS (brand new, factory ordered to my specs, which took 6 months) I paid almost $3000 LESS than that, and that was when it was new (with every SLP option that the Firehawk has, plus more). And that gave me an out-of-the-box factory 12 second car. I don't think my car has appreciated that much. $30,000 is more like it, unless you are selling to someone in the states (where you can get away with more). IMO.

Ricky, that Navigator is nice. Cool ride.

What do you mean no way Ricky? My 2002 firehawk stickered for $46,000. I bought it for $38,300. Black Robe has a 2001 firehawk convertable that stickered for $52,000 and he stole it brand new for $44,000. You can't base the price of a used vehicle by the sticker price. That's just a number they come up with to make a lot of money. Don't forget the zero financing and warranty with the new one too. People want too much cash for there used vehicles. They drive them to death, wear out the tires and who knows what and then expect to get close to what they paid. I guess if you want an f-body you'll have to deal with these characters.

Don't get me wrong. I love these cars (and yours is a beauty that someone will hopefully buy) and I would not sell my SS for anything less than an extreme amount of money , but if you paid $53 K plus tax (and plus financing), you got severely ripped off. Sorry.

My SS was factory ordered with every dealie you can get. Plus a few you can't normally get (special convertor, yadda yadda). For 2000, it was 1 of 1 for the options I ordered. Rare as it gets.

With all taxes and ALL INTEREST (financing) included, my price came to $44K. That is ALSO with extended warranty (which is a $1500 waste).

The dealer gave me a great price because I've done a lot of business with them (and I know how to negotiate so I got $6000 plus off the sticker tag). If you paid over $20K more than me, you got seriously raped. The seats may be a little more preferred by some people and the dash may differ slightly, but a Firehawk should not cost that much more. A couple of K, maybe.

But that's just my opinion and I'm not meaning to start a Camaro vs Firehawk war. The Firehawk is a great car - just how much a person pays determines if it is a good deal.

Steve, thank you. That was what I was trying to say in my long winded post. Your prices are pretty much in line with what I would argue is fair.

You got it right Chris, we know the price cause we haggled and bought new ones. I love the hawk, WS6 and SS models of f-bodies. The reason I think they quit making them is they really don't sell that well. Most younger guys who drool over them can't really afford them so that leaves them sitting there for us yuppies to bargain them down.
