Props to Cory. Tried to start car today

A big thanks to Cory for spending the day with me yesterday. We finished up the problem accessory bracket, the TB gasket and the front suspension. We also went over the car to check every nut and bolt.

Cory has spent 2 whole days with me and I have learnt a lot from him. For example, don't be shy about cranking on that bolt.

So today i fixed, the front suspension screw up that I had made yesterday.

Late yesterday I tried to turn the car over but had a starter problem. Rashpaul came by to help me get the FAST online with the ECU but I had to go almost the minute he showed up.
I got that fixed up today and went to turn the car over but the battery was now dead. It turned over a rev ot two.

Certainly should have the garage free for end of next weekend.

Cool man, get the battery charged asap. I wanna hear the thing run . When you get comfortable with the tuning let me know, I would like to be around for that. If you need more help just let me know. I still say you should post the pics of your suspension

Well

It didn't start

Of course I honestly thought it was too much to ask that it start the first time.

I can smell the gas though and truth be said the motor turns over very strongly but it does not even catch a little suggesting a spark issue I assume.

So next I need to go throught the diagnostic of whats wrong.

of course I did NOT have the laptop on so maybe I need that for the first turn over to get it running.

Damn, It is common for ECUs to require a spark signal, crank signal etc before they will trigger injection. Possibly a required sensor is unplugged?. If the ECU guys dont know whats going on treat it as any other no-start. Need fuel, spark, air and squeeze for an engine to run. Check spark first. Keep us posted.

unplug a plug wire and see if ug et spark

but even better is a laptop to monitor the FAST .. see if its even commanding spark or fuel ..

if ur fuel injectors are pulsating (u can smell fuel or put ur finger on them and feel pulsation) .. there is a VERY good chance that ur FAST IS online and IS commanding both spark AND fuel .. cuz it wouldnt be commanding fuel without spark

but yeah .. get that laptop first.

I got the laptop hooked up and I THINK I managed to get it "online" but after that I'm lost.

Payam, Cory is probably coming over tomorrow and we are going to do some trouble shooting.

You want / able to come? Eventually I'll get Rash to come and help as well but he, quite reasonably, costs a few $$$ for his time so i want to try and get the obvious problems eliminated first.

I'm off of school at 4:00. And I pass by there on my way home.
I would like to witness the startup.
Payam give me a call if you head down there.
