Picture This..........?

I was just day dreaming last night about how I could make my car stand out a little more, since most of out cars all look the same. Here is my idea=

Lower my car about 1 inch (maybe Shaun still has his SLP springs?)

Black Ghost flames on the hood and fenders only (small amount) like on Don Murrey's Hauler=>you can see what I mean on his web site.

Black Powder coated SS rims with the rim of the wheel left polished. I think my cross drilled rotor would look pretty cool under them

I think it would look pretty cool. I want my car to stand out more!!
How much is wheel powder coating? Mike? Anybody know anyone who does flames?

What do ya think

Andy

Thumbs up

I think the flames would look cool, although I am not a fan of black wheels........I just think you cant see the design of the wheel too well when they are black.....but it all comes down to what you like and well there is only one way to find out how it looks

well last time i said anything about black powder coated wheels i got majorly flamed (i think u were one to flame me the most about them) and i have a black car

IMO black wheels would look like *** on a green car

also, think about the custom graphics .. everytime u bang up ur car u gonna have to pay THAT MUCH more to have them put back on after ur paint job

just messin with ya andy

honestly: the wheels NO .. custom graphics YES

True Payam..I did flame you. I saw picture of a guy from the island F-body club who had this done to SS wheels and it looked pimp! I pictured them on my car and thought it might look cool. I just think black flames on a dark green car with silver wheels would look too "busy."

Hmmm...I got some C5 wheels powdercoated last week for my car...Gunmetal Gray...I haven't decided to continue with my plan but powdercoated costs about 70-90 per wheel including the clearcoat...your car Andy..your decision

hmmm .. SS wheels ZR1 wheels .. SAME WHEEL

i still stand by my word .. black ZR1 / SS wheels DO look badass with the lip polished .. but only on a BLACK CAR ... kinda like how white wheels look badass on a white car (i really liked the look of johnny's car with 16" white wheels)

IMO u should stick to silver or maybe black ice finish wheels .. not even chrome .. seen chrome wheels on a green car .. didnt like them too much (93 TA with a cracked rear bumper anyone ? )

for ur flames .. stick with pearl, dont go black .. black and green dont mix man ... thats the thing i dont like about green .. there arent many colors that would go with it .. silver / pearl / white / (maybe a yellow theme) .. tan ..

get ur car on the road first though

Is that the car with the black rims you are talking about? That car is so sweet.

I dunno, I think our cars look great the way they are. Just focus on wheelz, they either make or break the car.

Black SS rims or Black ZR1 rims are other names for Grand Sport Rims
Thats what they came with!

I am not a fan of black wheels at all, seems like rice to me. But that car does look pretty good. Must be the stripes that set it off.
