Thumbs up Ouch! - GTO commercial

I saw a GTO commercial last night that I'd not seen before. Real cool. I been searching for it, but no luck yet. Goes something like this...

It's night on a deserted road, and a GTO (black) drives into the scene and stops at a red light. They do a close up shot of the car, and key in on the exhaust sound at idle (nice). The car sits there, and when the light turns green, it doesn't move. It continues to sit there idling, until the light turns red again... and then a second GTO (silver) pulls up next to it in the other lane (obviously the first one is waiting to line up with the second). Then the light turns green and the commercial fades to black, and just at that moment you hear both cars screech the tires and launch. And the voiceover says something like "Some things are worth waiting for."

Now THAT is a commercial. If they did that type of ad for the f-body, it may have seriously changed the outcome/demise.

Yeah, I give them credit for this one. There's got to be at least 4 different GTO commercials I've seen.

They even have a billboard outside the right field stands of Wrigley Field. Its a baseball shaped like the top of a 6 speed **** that says something like "Throwing Heat".

they did do a TA ad, just hardly got any airplay.. the one where the TA eats a car at a stop light then burps and takes off. and i think there was this other one too. they just rarely ever played it, i think i only seen em like three times ever on tv.

There are a bunch of gto commercials on this site not the one you stated but the rest of them are there. http://www.ls1gto.com/media/

As for gm not doing it for our cars i think they made 2 kick *** commercials for the ta. I have them both on my website unfortunately i think i only saw one of them on tv at like 2 in the morning but atleast they are still on my website and i am still advertising them

I do vaguely recall seeing some f-body ones back in the 90's, and I recall some killer magazine ads (which I have copies of). But to find one of these in use (i.e. opn tv) was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Never gonna happen. Or, once in 5 years.

I've seen this commercial as well, and I thought it was awesome!! Look for it on Speed Vision. Also I thought the second car was something else?
