Order from speedautomotive... anyone interested?
Hey guys, i'm about to order a passenger side steering knuckle from Speed Automotive to replace my bent one... (60 bucks! ouch.. but I gotta have it... and at least they have them!) They also have tons of replacement parts
www.speedautomotive.com, so is anyone interested in anything? Perhaps we can save some shipping costs? *shrug*
I'm gonna be ordering a little later today.
jeff
btw: I'm going to keep my stainless steel brake lines and just install them... what the hell... I've already paid for 'em, and the money isn't desperately needed... so that should be a GREAT braking improvement!
Stepping up from extremely old (orginal rotors on the car and 5 year old pads, hehe) and worn out single piston crap to LS1 dual piston with SS brake lines... fun fun!

Thx BPS! I've also got the same LT1 setup forsale, hehe
but I just got another email from Tom @ tbyrne, and he's got one for 50 bucks US + shipping... hehe, so i'll need to compare shipping locations and see which is cheaper...
I'm also asking Davenport Racing in Calgary if they have any, or can get any...
its a shame there arn't any after market knuckles that are super strong and light... as your right, those bastards weigh a TON and shipping will kill me

I'm in a similar situation with a bent spindle. A after-market piece would be nice. I bet a lot of weight could be saved on this piece. I hate to spend much cash for another set from a junk yard with a unkown history.

if you need more parts I have a full set of 93-97 front brakes, rotors, knuckles, calipers et al, left over from my ls1 brake upgrade

I never upgraded my rear brakes, I'm pretty sure you can't... The people that do, swap out entire rear-ends I think...
What are the spindles? the bolt type things that are in the hub? That your lug nuts screw onto?
I have a bunch off my old ones! One of the ones with my new setup was scored so we just took one of the ones from my old setup. Lemme know if you want 'em
My part will be here next monday from TByrne... Cost me 79 bucks US including shipping tho
Which sucks alot... I got off lucky with the brakes @ 150 US, but now its not looking so good... up to 230ish now... bleh Oh well

When I say spindles I mean steering knuckles. I don't need the hubs (the part the lug nuts screw onto,) I've got two brand new ones to install when I get this problem figured out. If you have any straight LS1 spindle/steering knuckles you could get rid of let me know.

Ahhh! Gotcha... No, i don't have any straight knuckles... But you can call speed automotive... they have 'em! Or call tbyrne as thats where I got mine...
Mind you they're not cheap
But hey, gotta have 'em!
So what exactly are spindles? Or is that just another name for the knuckles?
