Wow very impressed that car looks great. Will it beat the Viper?

 

Great pics Larry, but would you trade in your 01 vert hawk on one? This is the $70,000.00 plus question I'm dealing with. Maybe in another year there will be a selection of 05 Z06's on ebay. The 05 Z06 is the best looking vet yet but I'd want mine in black.

 

The new SRT-10 Viper motor puts out just over 500hp at the flywheel so I'd say this race would come down to the driver.

 

equal drivers I have a feeling the viper will pull a bit.........but we shall see

this will beat the viper im pretty sure...this car should be in the mid 11 second range from the showroom floor...i think the viper is either high 11s or low 12s? not too sure but i'd bet money that this would eat the viper

 

The Viper has to weigh more than 2900lbs...My money would be on the Z06 ESPECIALLY around a road circuit.

vipers is mucho heavier. I hope the Z06 is still affordable

 

I dont think so Dave. I cant see this car being sold under 80K.

 

Same horsepower as the ford GT supercar, 300 lbs lighter and less than half the price

Just saw a segment on Car and Driver about the C6. Nothing can touch it in that price range and it has improvements in every aspect of the car. Not to mention the sticker price is a grand cheaper than the 04 C5. The must have Z51 package has bigger brakes and tires with a stiffer suspension and a short throw stick. The vert top only weighs 14 pounds. This LS2 dream car is at the top of my want list.
