Are you fed up with the NHL lockout? Had enough of the rhetoric from both sides? Are you sick of hearing about cost certainty, salary caps, arbitration, qualifying offers, entry level contracts and all the other jargon that we've been inundated with since September 15th. Do you just want the owners and the players to get the deal done? Well, here's your chance to speak up.
Operation Puck Drop is a movement of fans, uniting them to get the games going so we can all enjoy the best game in the world again. It seems both sides have forgotten that the game isn't about them, it's about us. This petition will be delivered by hand to both NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and Players Association Exective Director Bob Goodenow as a way of showing that we've had it with their posturing and fans can no longer be taken for granted. We ask that you do two things here: 1) Get Angry, 2) Sign. Let's get the NHL back on ice.

I may be the only one but..........I'm actually enjoying a season of no Hockey - I find that I can get a lot more done with people lately.

When there was hockey on evey night I always get the "Not tonight - there's a game on- or - Mabye after the game......":blah:
I see my friends a lot more and I spend more time with my wife and kids.
The TV's not on nearly as much and I don't feel the need to go and spend $300 bucks on a game because I simply can't.

Sometimes it seems like hockey is all that people talk about at work, day in and day out it's the same old "Did you see that game last night?" Usually not leaving room for more stimulating conversation to follow....

Don't get me too wrong - I hope it comes back next year........but until then I'm rather enjoying it........like a breath of fresh air really.

Hockey's the best game on the planet in my eyes but I have mixed emotions over the issues here. On one hand I say let the overpaid bastards sit on their butt but on the other hand a salary cap will mean the end to a player like Naslund or Bertuzzi cause some team like Nashville with a payroll under the cap will steal our player. I say find a happy medium with no salary cap but some revenue sharing. I think the league is maybe a few teams too big so let teams that don't have support fold if some revenue sharing wont cover the loss. It's the owners of teams like the Rangers and the Blues who got us in this mess to begin with. Canucks have quite a big payroll but pretty much sellout and turn a profit. The upswing of the canadian dollar will help our teams up here too. We need a compromise between the players and the league soon or else no season.
