Nitto's GOOOOOD!!

YEAH BABY! For the first time today I FINALLY got to feel what it is like to hit 422RWTQ and have it stick!

After a Small "Display" in the Discount Tire parking lot that brought the tires to temp I proceeded to Launch the car from about 10MPH. Until today all this did was bring on nothing but spin...for hundreds of feet. THIS time the front end came up to the end of the shocks, the rear end squatted and the car shot forward so hard it hurt my neck! EVERYTHING that was not tied down flew to the back of the car and my Cell phone bounced off the rear glass!

Several "Tests" since have proved to be very fruitful. All out spin CAN still be had but not as easy as before

Nitto 555RIIs GOOOOOD!

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

You got the RII's? I love the R's, so I'm anxious to hear how the stiffer sidewalls hold up for straight line performance.

Nice Ellis....

What is the difference between the 2 nitto tires? Are these a new release? I just bought the Mac rear end cover in the GP incase I don't build a 9inch and my question is, will this tire be too sticky for my rearend to hold up. I put out about 355rwhp with an m6 and by summer will have a Spec stage 3 clutch. A ticking time bomb I'm assuming.

well the 555RIIs are the road race version made to compete with the Victor racers. GHTP did a direct comparison last summer and the Nittos came out on top on a open road race

I wanted a good set of tires for the street and decided to pick a set up. I have BFG G-Force KDs on the front and wanted a good Auto-X setup also

They should handle better then the DRs but last as long I am hoping. They at least got a tread wear rating(100) were the DRs do not

BTW so far they only make one size 275/40-17s

The word is they may step up to 315s IF you guys hound them enough!
