Depends. A wrx would be awsome, and they're fast too! But for the price of a WRX you could get a Cadillac STS (used) and be a super baller. Newer Lexus ES300?
You know you want pluuushnnesss.

Re: new winter "beater"

Dont know too much about the trailblazers but the subarus are mechanically inept. For that reason alone Id suggest a trailblazer instead .
I have heard some questionable things about the electrics on trailblazers though. Imagine that, a GM with an electrical problem..... who woulda thought?

Out of those choices I would get a Canyon. I like the versatility of a truck plus I think that they look really good. I like the Canyons more than the Trailblazers.

WRX You can drive it all year round, do some rally racing in the winters and dial the boost up for the summer

Re: new winter "beater"

I vote for the chevrolet collorado truck with the little 220 hp inline 5cyl. Trailblazer will eat gas like a fat girl eats cheese. The little truck is more practical. . ..I cant beleive I said practical.

check out www.colloradofans.com for some pics and vids. They look pimpy on 20"s with the 4 door cab and short box.

HAPPY ****ING BIRTHDAY BTW

Re: new winter "beater"

Damn man.........your winter beater will be nicer than my summer fair weather car.

I'm a fan of Trailblazers, I like the looks of them.
Although I would never buy one. For the price of one I could pick up a pretty sweet Tahoe with a a lot more room and more power too.

I test drove a Trailblazer for the day a while back, they sure aren't as big on the outside as they are on the inside - my current Blazer feels the same size inside.
