MTV and Vancouver Car scene
MTV and Vancouver Car scene
This is a promo from a friend of mine, read:
Hello people of BC-TFB
My name is Dan and I am the director of www.vancouvertuner.com. The site will be launched in the coming weeks, and will be an online community for enthusiasts of all types of cars to come together and help promote the tuning scene in Vancouver. We want to take the focus off of illegal street racing and put it back where it belongs - on the cars.
We were recently given an opportunity by MTV Canada to put together a show on the tuning scene in Vancouver, and want to make the most of it to promote local clubs and enthusiasts in a positive light. We will be holding an informal meet in North Vancouver on October 19th to do the filming, weather permitting. The timeline will be from about 12-4, with everyone showing up to set up around 11am. There are two categories of cars we are looking for. First off we want cars with crazy audio and video systems. This includes custom installs, DVD players, anything loud that sounds good. Second, we are looking for heavily modified performance cars. We are looking for a good representation of the scene, so all cars are welcome to show up. There will of course be an emphasis on the extreme. People with hydraulics are especially welcome!
Now to the point - we want to extend an invitation for your club’s members to join in the filming of this show. I am asking that all interested participants RSVP as soon as possible so appropriate arrangements can be made, and so we can keep entrants together with their respective clubs. This is a great opportunity for local clubs to get FREE TELEVISION EXPOSURE. This event is 100% free and everyone is encouraged to attend, regardless of whether they are entering. For those interested, please email a photo and a brief description of car modifications to vancouvertuner@telus.net.
The show will tentatively be held at Centennial Theater in North Vancouver, and all entrants will be emailed as soon as it is confirmed (provided I have their email addresses). If you would prefer to organize entrants from your club yourselves, this would be much appreciated. Regardless, the sooner you can send me a list of who will be showing their cars, the easier you will make this for me.
Thank you for your help, and hopefully we will see many of you there! If you have any questions, please email me at the above mentioned address, and make sure you check out www.vancouvertuner.com in the coming weeks!
Thanks for your help,
Dan Duval
