Beyond ****!!!
do tell...
why
anywho I'm going though tech(I wasn't worried cause my car has passed before). I see one of the inspectors looking over an early batmobile vet. He quickly pops the hood, then the trunk and that guy was done in less than a minute. The same a**hole walks by 4 uninspected cars in line and switches lanes strieght to my car. Take one look at it and say "your car's kinda ugly" At the point I knew there was no way I was going to pass. Then he go into cop mode and start pulling the car apart looking for something. I was pissed when he stared pulling up the carpet lookinf for anything. Finaly, the ***** decides to fail me 10 min later cause of neutral start switch. I asked what his name was (becuase of his unprofesional comments earlier) and he wouldn't even tell me.
I sooo glad I turffed the lawn when I was leaving.

Re: Mission Raceway Tonight - Who's Racing
I just typed a long answer but accidentally closed the box.
So here is the "Coles notes" version.
Why did you even show up without an operational neutral safety switch?
It is not legal on the street and not allowed on the track.
I for one would not want you behind me in the lanes without one.
Show up with your homework done. You will find them much more lenient on MINOR infractions if you appear to be trying to comply.
I have a drive shaft hoop that by the letter of the rules I don't need.
Why? One inspector thinks I should have one on ET streets.
Yes they do waffle back and forth a bit at Mission but they are fairly easy to get along with if you don't get your back up.
Unfortunately your landscaping job probably burned any bridges you needed to go back.

I'm not talking about not passing because of a rule infation. That part doen't bother me. I'm talking about not passing because the inspector didn't like my car.
I personaly would be more worried about the standard tranny cars(pre 86) that don't require you to push in the clutch to start the car, rather than an auto without neutal start switch. My car used to be an standard and it never had any of that stuff. I can show you the factory harness where the switch would go and ford's nice little wire loop to by-pass it.
As far as I'm consernd the guy was being a *****, a**hole, jerk, etc... cause he didn't like my car. If the dick realy was doing his job he wouldn't have insulted my car and then be a chicken **** up by not giving out his name.
