Has anybody used either the Predator or the LS1Edit? I need to tune my SS due to the installation of Longtube headers. seems to be running a bit on the lean side. Plug and play is easy but is it going to make a difference. Who sells the Predator locally. I found a dealer in ONT. Thanks

 

Over at LS1.com they where talking about these, I don't know too much about them except they where leaning towards the LS1edit. Only one place to buy it and I want it with auto-tap to do my own tuning and diagnostics.

 

I'm in the process of getting LS1 edit myself. It is more expensive, but far more versatile then predator ($550 US vs. $420 or so).

BUT, if all you are going to do is LTs, then all you need is to adjust the AFR, which Predator can do well enough. I have a TC and will be going either H/C or blower in the future, so I want to have more versatility. I know if you go with James of Running with the Devil he will do custom tuning by mail for more serious stuff, but tuning by mail is tough. And with all the dyno time requried, could be costly with return trips till it is done right.

In my case, I have ATAP already.

What are your future plans?

 

I am going to be doing more than long tubes. So I am leaning more toward the LS1 Edit. Seems to much more versitile. I just need to find an Auto Tap or equal sourse. FastToys has one. Is there another sourse to be had closer to hme here. Thanks.

 

Maybe some of us should try and get a gp. I am going to buy it anyways maybe we can get cheaper units. If anyone knows of a gp going on or wants to start one.?

 

Occassionally you get GPs on Atap. I got mine through Fast Toys actually. Phillip is a good source.

Why do you want a dealer locally to get it from? I just order mine by phone. I am pretty sure there is no one in BC selling Autotap, Edit, or Predator. Mopac may be able to source...

 

I actually have bought a bunch of stuff from Fasttoys. I was just wondering if anybody locally sold some of the same stuff as I had not found one yet. I do like to support dealers if they are in the area. Other wise Fasttoys has been the best bet. I lke the Island but sometimes getting stuff is harder. Thank good ness for home delivery service. cheers.
