Re: Insurance prices

I was with Allstate paying 1k every 6, called Geico and they offered better coverage with lower deductable for the 600.. No brainer for me.. Going direct is a lot cheaper than using a damn agent.

Up here we don't have quite the number of choices for insurance. The bulk has to be covered by the gov't-sanctioned monopoly, which isn't kind to some drivers. Then, there are smaller portions that you can get covered by a couple of other agnecies that MIGHT give you a more competitive offer. But we still don't have much choice or competition.

I pay about $1000 for 6 mos or so.

zman, if your insurance has gone down, thats odd - unless there were some other circumstances you're not mentioning that inflated it previously. Mine has gone up over the past 4 years from about 900/year to 2000/year. And thats 18+ years accident free.

Re: Insurance prices

I pay $88 a month for full coverage. I guess I am pretty lucky seeing how I am only 22 and that seems to be less for a full year than most pay for 6 months

Re: Insurance prices

Including storage insurance I pay roughly 500 a year.

Of coarse.........I only put permits on when I want to drive.
Keeps ICBC away from my money that way.

Hate having a car insured and not using it.
Much cheaper this way.
