I went out and got a quote 2 days ago for a 96 Z28. With the basic coverage, 2,000,000 third party liability, collision, and comprehensive with the deductibles for both set to $500.00 it worked out to $3805.00 per year before discount. I only have 10% right now so it works out to $3434 which is about 295.00 a month....

$1400 or so a year with fire & theft, no collision, the money I've saved on collision can buy me another F-body

Careful there... if they can prove your dad doesn't drive the car a certain percentage of the time, they might decide not to cover you if something happens. And if the accident is serious enough (read lots of $$$), they WILL investigate thoroughly.

yes they will, my dad had his work truck stolen, but it looks pretty much like a kids car. icbc was trying to say that i stole it or i drove it all the time and they didn't want to pay to fix it once it got recovered. icbc is a joke.

I have basic coverage, 500,000 libility or whatever, no collision, fire & theft... just what I need to be able to drive it

I also have it setup for pleasure use, or occasional use which basically says I can't drive it to work any more then 8? times a month... Thats fine as I work downtown and parking is a small fortune in itself

I pay 105 a month with a 40% discount
