I'm Moving!

I'm moving north to...Whitehorse, yep I know it is sad but the money is good and I have a place to stay with a buddy.I just want to know if anyone lives up there and where is there 1/4 mile track etc car parts, Living expenses.
Oh and I wont be lurkin to much till bout the end of summer so yea thought you guys would like to know.

outta curiousity, what are you gonna be doin up there?

Bah! Isolation the easy bit, putting up with next to no sunlight for almost half the year is the hard part. Good luck with that...

yeah i forgot about that ahaha...that would suck pretty bad...i dont think i'd mind it being dark 24/7...the 24/7 sunlight would kinda **** me off though lol

well i am sorta be pushed "not kicked" outta the house and my buddy is up ther so i am going to go up there and insulate houses 16$/hr 54 hrs a week

so yea ... isolation pay....

here is my advise...

Go up there and get into the heavy equipment industry, preferably as a mechanic. My company (Brandt Tractor) has a locations in Fort Nelson/St. John and the yard boy makes probably $20+ an hour. They can't get anyone up there for less than that.

i agree with andy im just doing my pre app for heavy duity equipment, and the money the full flegded techs makes is mind blowing not to mention the benifits and pention if your union
