Although I think they look good, I believe that rear light covers hinder the ability of other drivers to properly see your vehicle.
I wouldn't put them on my ride because I don't want to get rear ended.
Of course that's just my opinion and we all know opinions count for around here..........yup just like azzholes, everybody has one and they all stink.
If you like it and aren't worried about possible fines or accidents - go for it!

I wonder what the insurance implications might be if you got rear-ended with those on. I wonder if ICBC would try to nullify coverage in a scenario like that (meaning not only are you at fault, but you also pay for all damages and lawsuits out of your own pocket).
I also wonder if other illegal mods could result in that.

I think they look pretty good.... get ready to be ticketed though as they are illegal.

On the other hand, I believe the covers (GTS?) do work well on pewter.
At night, the tail light blackouts are pretty much invisible.... (like they are not even on the car)
I don't know about rear-ending and what ICBC would do, but I know we have our third breaklight that is never blacked out.

I think they are better suited to the Pontiacs, and look like @ss on the Camaro's, especially the ones with the 97+ lights. Leave your tail alone

As for ICBC coverage or the lack thereof, any non-sanctioned modification to the vehcile that is deemed to be related to the collision being claimed may fully or partly void the claim. This is decision is at the discretion of the adjuster/estimator/collision investigator.
Good luck with your decision.
