HPP questions for LT1

I managed to get a free HPP for my car (an HPP2, not an HPP3) and I had a few questions. I have never used one of these before, so bare with me:

1) Is there any compatibility issues between using the HPP and a LT4 Knock Module?

2) How low of a temp can you program your fans to come on with the HPP. The reason I ask is that I am wondering if it is worth it to have the SLP manual control fan switch as well.

3) I am planning on getting rid of my B&M electronic shift improver and just going with the reprogrammed shifts in the HPP. I have heard if you use both at the same time, the line pressure is way too high.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks - Robert

1. I have found none
2. for whatever temp gauge you install ( stock 180* or 160* ), found either setting is accurate
3. believe they do the same thing, IMO sell the B&M

You shoudn't have any problems with the LT4 KM and HPP, also as Rudy mentioned get rid of the shift plus it is no good for the life of your tranny

If you put a 160 thermostat in your car then select the 160 degree fan setting. I think the fans will go on at 170 and shut off at 165.
So there is no reason for a fan switch.
A fan switch is good when you want to cool the car down when it's not running, especially when combined with an electronic water pump.
