That was one baaaad day & almost every one that follows gets worse...

I can't remeber anything from that day, the first memories I have are when I was in the ambulance being transfered into the hospital... so I don't know what happened.

I didn't die so I suppose I should be glad for that. I cracked two ribs & ruptured my spleen. I have to keep going in for tests & what not as I may need surgury. The doctors say they want to "monitor" my condidtion to see if it'll heal itself or not... if it doesn't then I need to have it removed.

Other then that I just cut my face up a bit but I'm alright...

I woulda preffered if it wasn't posted in the front page of the newspaper as a HUGE pic, but hey, what can ya do.

I have been getting called from people I haven't talked to in YEARS asking me if I'm alright..

& yeah, it was a borowed car, a guy I know wanted to drive my car so he gave me the porsche for a week & this is what happenes. I am still in the middle of trying to fix all this. I WAS going to take responsibility for the accident as far as ICBC is concerned in order to keep his insurance from sky-rocketing but he has done some damage to my car aswell so we'll have to see what goes on now.

I sorta feel bad for the guy though but it was his stupidity. I mean, he gave me the Porsche when it wasn't even his car in the first place (he traded his car to someone else who traded him for the porsche) & then he gave my car to another guy who gave him a BMW. I have NO idea why he went through all this trouble but anyways.. so the guy driving my car did the damage to it (cracked - pretty much falling off - the front bumper, bent the hood up, did something to my deck & stole on of my amps) So I dunno what's going to happen now. I'm going to leave it up to my lawyer to discuss it with them. If they pay for all the damages to my car & return or replace any missing parts then I will take care of the porsche, otherwise, I don't really see why I should.

Are you telling us that you're holding out paying for tens of thousands of dollars to a crashed Porsche because your "friend" cracked your bumper, wrecked your hood, and heisted your stereo?

Why would someone trade his Boxter for a Prelude in the first place???

You should go buy a Z06 and I'll borrow it for the rest of it's life. Oh yeah, you can HAVE my dad's 87 diesel jetta. You should be able to handle it. IMHO, this was a pretty stupid incident.

There is ALLOT more too it then that.. I'm not in a position to hand out details but the damage on my car is not minimal. (The entire bumper has to be replaced along with the hood, the headunit has been damaged & one of my amplifiers is missing.

Front Bumper : $1100
Hood: $500 - $1000
Headunit: $700 - $1100 (depending on condiditon)
Amplifier: $2200
Grand total (using the cheapest prices) :$6600

I will most likely take responsibility for the porsche anyhow (in order to keep his insurance, or whoever own's the cars' insurance from sky-rocketting, however, the damage to my car comes at a really bad time as I am in the process of selling it.

ALSO - as it turns out the owner of the porsche was trying to sell his car aswell he would only get about 25 to 30 grand for it as it had MANY MANY problems (mechanical & otherwise), now, that icbc will be writing-off the car, he will most likly get regular market value (anywhere from $35,000 to $40,000) for it.

I am more then happy to take full responsibility for the car & the accident, I would however like to have my car repaired & have anything missing returned to me.

One last thing - I am not in any way trying to defend this accident in any way. I honestly have no recolection of the days events but can only say that this looks allot to be the result of stupid driving. Since I was behind the wheel when the car his a parked transit bus (not only the largest vehicle on the road, but it was parked at that) I acknologing (I know I spelt it wrong) that I did something wrong. I normally do not drive in any matter that would result in an accident of this sort (I am known by many off my peers a "drivin miss daisy") but no matter how you slice it, I was behing the wheel & do not deny any responsibility.

I am only glad & I thank "my lucky stars" every day that no other innocent person was injured on my account.

This accident has caused trouble on other boards & I do not wish to encounter the same problems here. This is a great board & I am hapy to be a part of it, however, if I am going to be causing probelms between members then I would be willing to leave the board before anything happens that others may regret on my account.

Learn how to drive and be a man and own up to your responsabilities. You smash up a Porsche and you sound more worried about your cheap rice car. I'm glad you're not hurt but I hope that hit on the head didn't loosen any more screws. They're all loose already. You pay for his damage and he pays for yours. Just tack on a couple of zeros to the damage you did and another zero for your attitude.

As I said.. I take FULL responsibilty for whatever happened, I WAS behind the wheel therefore it was my mistake... I have never deneied that.

I am more then willing to take the damage of the porsche upon myself as far as icbc is concerned... I would, however, like to know what, if anything, he is planing to do in regards to the damages on my vehicle. I am concerned for the owner of the porsche & will be having the accident reflect on my drivers licence / insurance premiums, but fail to see why (since I am holding myself accountable for the damages on his vehicle) why whoever it was that was driving my vehicle should not be held accountable for the damage they did to it. Am I being un-reasonable in this regard?
