Hillcrest Drive In

The preliminary information on the Hillcrest Drive In, and when the Matrix is coming (as suggeted by Shaun as the first movie to hit), is May 16th. Hence, if the opening stays as this, it would be nice to go on Saturday May 17th as a group.

Who will be in on this? May 17th - Saturday - The Matrix II

It is possible that the starting date MAY change and I've asked Vesham to keep us posted.

Question

Just to throw out an idea for you guys. If you post club meets on this site it would be good to know if the event is an open event or considered closed to paid up club members (BCTFB?) That will clear up any confusion. Just an idea anyways. This post is not meant to start up any "slap chat" either LMAO. Cheers all.

Cory, on Saturdays its $10 per person and that gets you three movies. Pretty darn cheap really.

Charles, we've never really discussed who the event is open to. I think it would be nicest to keep it all f-bodies (either members or potential members), as that would look quite impressive.

If anyone has any comments either way, feel free to voice them.

i'm in and I'll be bringing my wife. umm, not to be an as@(*le but I think it should be for Fbods only and It should be for members and potential members only. This is where a membership card would be worth it. We could open up the meets to everyone, and people who are members get 10% off and the rest pay regular price. You just have to flash the card and you get the discount.

MEMBERSHIP HAS ITS PRIVILEGES!!!

It should be open for everyone, if every meet and outting is going to be for club members only then there really should be a different forum for that, which was discussed at a previous meet It's not fair to say those kinds of things here on cz28.com. Discussions, meets, events, get togethers, shindigs, hoot nannies and box carts advertised here should be open for everyone. My mustang buddy has been dieing to come out with us just once see our cars drool a bit and eventually buy one. Do we have to charge him to????

Lol!

Perhaps this is a matter we'll have to take up at the next meeting (Johnny?).

My personal thoughts are that myself, Sandeep, Aly, Shaun, JD, Payam, Mike, etc... are going to the efforts to organize events for the club members (and anyone who wants to join it) who are contributing financially to the club. Having a row reserved at the Drive In, royal treatment at restaurants, etc... is all part of the benefits to paying dues into the club. So, if we end up allowing non-members (or non-paying people) to join us and take advantage of these benefits, aren't we short-changing the members who are actually paying money? Doesn't it cheapen the membership.

On the other hand, you don't want to discourage guests, because bringing a guest to such a function is ALSO a benefit of being a member.

I'm not sure and I'm just suggesting things. Any rules like this that we decide upon are probably best left till a monthly meeting.

Discourage who ever you want but try and do it on a new forum, not here. If this local was takin use for BC-TFB which it shoulden't then people wanting to come on here and talk cars, parts, track times etc would be discouraged.

Arrow

We don't want to discourage anyone from joining although paying members to get first dibs. Although this is something we should discuss at the next meeting and decide how we want to handle this. I don't know how this will effect this event itself, but if there is limited number of cars allowed then I would say give club members first pick and make any available spots open to all

Armen we will be moving to our own forum very soon and well if you see the odd post here or there regarding the club only then steer away if you like. The amount of BS you post discourages more people Again I would like to see you raise these points in person at one of the meetings
