help with driver's swingout on rollcage.

I'm having a rollcage welded in and the NHRA rules say the driver's bar has to be shaped a certain way that would make me have to cut out part of the armrest on the door to be legal. Do any of you have photos of the driver's side legal cages you could send me?
Oh, by the way, I have a "99 convertible Z-28.

Thanks

My swing out bar is legal and does not interfere with the arm rest..

It IS uncomfortable to drive it though if you have to turn and I cannot drive Auto x very well with the bar in place.

I'll try and get pictures at some time.

Has NHRA changed their rules this year pertaining door bars?

You can do it a few ways i would just put a bend or two in the bar to go around the arm rest a lil bit or do it like this...

Link to Neverlifts site (one of their customers trucks)

Yes Johnny 347. 3.25 stroke 4.125 bore

I would call Neverlift for the panels but they are NOT cheap.

Thanks for your replies. I guess the tech inspectors aren't that concered about a couple of bends in the driver's bar. I let Chris know at Crucible constructors that it's ok to bend the bar around the door panel. He's used to building cages for road racers and the drag racing rules seem a lot more relaxed.

I don't have many mods yet. Let's see. I bought it with a Moser 12 bolt installed with cross drilled rotors. The only things I've done are : Hypertech, thermostat, ported the throttlebody, shortened the egr tube, the free airbox mod and put in a new SLP airlid. The loudmouth exhaust in the garage will go in after the cage is installed. Thought I should stiffen up the body with a little safety before I drop the pedal.
