header question for you ls1 guys

who makes a complete header to cat kit? like the FLP system for the lt1s. buddy needs headers, preferably longtubes, cats, and offroad pipe. i know this stuff can be made up at an exhaust shop but hed rather get a whole kit and have every bolt up perfectly.

Re: header question for you ls1 guys

Price difference between headers is unreal as pointed out to me by Amit and Chris. Pacesetters lt headers cost $375.00 US and Kooks cost $818.00 US plus $509.00 US for the Kooks Y-pipe.

Re: header question for you ls1 guys

usually thats because pacesetters are known to copy other designs, so they dont have to spend a lot on R&D.

Re: header question for you ls1 guys

Also Pacesetter don't have a catted y-pipe and well from my experience with there LT1 kit there y-pipe doesn't have the best fitament either, i am actaully having a local shop modify it at some points to avoid contact with the body.

Chris might be able to give some better insight on the LS1 Pacesetter kit.

Re: header question for you ls1 guys

you are right. the pacesetter y-pipe sucks ***.

however, TSP came out with a y-pipe thats basically for the pacesetter header. 3 inch with car sound cats. i paid under$1000cdn for coated pacesetters and catted y and o2 extensions.tsp gave me free ship on the y and i paid like 20 bucks for the headers.

Hey folks, I've been dying to ask this but are Longtubes illegal in BC? (perfer: SLP or QTP) And what about ground clearance, anyone have any big problems with these brands?

Longtubes themselves aren't illegal. But the fact they don't use cats is. You won't pass air care.

Re: header question for you ls1 guys

You can get a custom y-pipe made up with cats to pretty much suit any headers. I will be doing that with my pacesetters likely.
