Guess dyno numbers?
Guess dyno numbers?
I usually don't care for such hypothetical issues, and the real #'s could prove dissappointing, but what the heck. Anyone want to take some guesses at what I'll pull on the dyno with my set up?
I will be making runs both locked and unlocked with the convertor (so my locked numbers will be higher, of course) - so you can guess either or both. Or none. The set up will be as follows:
3.23 stock gears
A4
SY3500 torque convertor
Basic intake (lid, MAF, Ported TB)
Long tubes (no cats)
Cutout (single)
LS6 intake
ASP pulley (crank only)
224/224 581/581 114 cam (4 degrees advance ground in)
AFR 205 heads 66cc (not milled with stock MLS gasket - so stock compression)
Tuned by self with LS1 Edit
I think those are the main relevant details. Keep in mind that my numbers will be lower than what other published dyno numbers may be with these heads because 1) mine is a baby cam 2) I'm not using an electric water pump 3) my compression is stock and not 11.5+ that most like 4) I am not using a 90mm TB with FAST 90mm intake, and 5) it is an A4, not a M6.

Re: Guess dyno numbers?
Yah, got to be a prize.
Um... beer? A case of beer or some drinks at the pub - either or - winners choice.
There could be a fair variance especially between locked and unlocked numbers, so low #'s may be a possiblity, as could high numbers. Anything over 400rwhp is desired, but the higher the better. My car's always been a good runner, but this is an unfamiliar dyno.
If it helps, on Harvey's dyno I ran 320 rwhp and 337 rwtq, or thereabouts, and since then there has been added the LTs, no cats, cutout, cam and heads.
