Good times, sorta!
Good times, sorta!
Good times were had by all last night who attended the annual Hod Rod and Classic Car Show. Richard hosted this event in his parking lot on Industrial Way in Chilliawack and if the attendance was any indicator, you can be sure he will have to consider a different location in the years to come.
The burn out contest was a hit as usual, but myself I really don’t care for it. Some cars were playing it to close to the edge and I am surprised that no one bit the dust. There were big block Corvettes and huffer rods, and most of them had to show the crowd that their machine could do.
I too got roped into lighting them up, and I must say, I surprised myself. Since my new combo last year, I had never nailed it off the line. Well all four broke loose and I had no steering. I burned it through first and second and I was heading across the on coming lane and thought it best to shut it down, but I guess my wheels were traveling twice the speed of my vehicle and so even after I let off, I still had no steering for another second or so. I just about bit the dust. The crowd liked it, but I went home and had three beer.

I saw you driving around the Wack about a week ago - I think you should change your online name to "Beardo"!
