Bunch of hot air is all it is as far as I’m concerned. Even if they are able to get a deal together on Saturday the 19th, I can’t see them being able to have an actual game until at least the 15th of March. And that is if both sides are willing to bargain, which as I see it they have not up to this point.

Re: Go Canucks Go!!!

what's the point after that? will they start a fresh season or will they just disregard the lost games?

Re: Go Canucks Go!!!

It was on the new 6pm news tonight...very late breaking and unconfirmed. The remaining games would probably be played within the teams conferance(sp?) was one of the highlights. They have apparently settled on a 45M deal....what is in that deal, no clue.

We will see hockey with 2 weeks imo if the deal is official tomorrow.

I heard our old superstars wouldn't save the day till saturday. IMO it's too late now. What, play a couple of dozen games then have a playoff? The owners don't want to give up the playoffs cause the players play for free. The fans have suffered now let the owners and players sit out the season in retalitation for this outrage. What about all the players in Europe? Are they ready to return at Bettman's call?

Me tooooo!!!! I just want to watch something!!!! Ive been going through withdraw and need my fix I too heard that there was a deal made in principal and would hopefully have a deal by the end of the weekend. Then they can anounce the uncancelling of the season. F Bettman and F Goodenow!!! If I had the chance to, I would T-bag the both of them. Nothing but their damn ego's getting in the way. They should both be fired as soon as all of this is over

Re: Go Canucks Go!!!

I told you guys nothing was going to happen, in the meeting that they had today (Saturday) which lasted 6 ½ hours, they are STILL no closer to making a deal. Wake up and smell the coffee boys it’s almost March already and still no deal, I mean if this was a regular season it would be less then two months until the play-offs. There is not a chance that they can salvage this season, with the positions that the League and the Players Association are you would be lucky if they EVEN play next season. Look at what Union representative Ted Saskin said about the meeting today ``I can't see anything worse than what they put on the table today,'' he also stated ``It's certainly not going to be resurrected after today,'' and ``It's 100 percent certain coming out of today's meeting that nothing could impact the cancellation of the season.'' .
