Unhappy further change in plans !!!

Well . the part about selling the camaro is still in tact

but im not so sure about buying a vette anymore...
i think its that point in my life where i need to smarten up and start paying my debts off ... so i figuered i'll just buy a 15-18k car, sell both cars and have 1 decent driver thats also a little bit of fun .. till i secure a job, and save up for my dream vette

so i need some suggestions ...

my first choice is a 99ish Audi A4 quattro 1.8t .. what else can u guys suggest in those lines ?

i would like a turbo car, 4 cyl, possibly AWD, good on gas, not crazy fast .. but fun .. and classy.. got any more suggestions ?

rather then buy and selling and having that hassle why not down mod the Z to a reliable daily driver level. Use the mod sale and other car sale $$ to pay down debt.

That way you still have a nice driver and less debt.

Likely means you have to stop making passes at the track.

I agree. It would be better if u return ur car to stock, and pay off ur debts. That way u'll still have money left over that u can throw in the bank.

Let's not start to get insulting here, I'm sure he was just making an observation.

Try to look at it from our point of view Payam, It does seem like you don't really know what you want - which is fine, because who among us does?

We all have idea's floating around in our heads as too which way to go with money matters, and they change often - only most don't make every thought known to the public.

I myself will think about something for quite a while - all along changing my plans in my head - and then when I've got them set in concrete I'll tell people. Even family.

Hell, when my wife was pregnant we didn't tell anybody until we were totally 100% sure, and that was big. (Both times )

Let's keep it cool, although we're all aware you don't like people "hi-jacking" your posts - it happens all the time to everyone.

How about a nice DSM? It would certinally fit the discription of what you are interested it.
You may even find one for cheaper than what you said you were willing to pay.
They all seem to have tranny problems - but you're mechanically minded - and if you don't mod it, there may not be any. (Ya right! - No Mods! )

We'll all support you with whatever decision you do make - so good luck!

How about a Subaru?

Not the most attractive cars in the world - but they can have the 2.5L 160hp 4 banger with AWD.........

Four doors and all......
I have no idea about reliability though - and I'll bet they are hellish expensive to fix.

For the price you are willing to spend, a person could get into a 98 or so Legacy.

i dont like 300ZXs either .. they got good potential for modding .. knowing myself i wont stop till i get 450 rwhp out of it

The only subaru i like is the WRX .. and i couldnt afford that .. i dont think .. i'll look into it though

I don't think there are a lot of choices for turbo, 4cyl, and AWD in the 15-20 thousand range. DSM, Audi, Subaru are all that I can think of. I also vote to keep the Z in stock form.

a stock Z would be way too boring .. i couldnt handle knowing i have a LT1 and it doesnt go mid 11s

if i have a turbo 4 banger my expecations will be much lowered .. and of cousre i'll get AWD and more luxury

theres noway i can drive a Z in stock form .. i'll just go nuts

Kinda figured you'd say something like that. I would probably feel the same way... knowing what the car used to be capable of.

How about an LS1?
