You can order a new Z06 a little cheaper but you'd pay an extra 10% tax. A Z06 conversion could be done cheaper too, just get new side panels for the bigger wheels, add Z06 brakes and mod the LS2.

That's a lot of money for 1 car. Then again I do remember lifting the hood on a 1990 ZR1 back in '90 and being amazed at the engine. Sticker was $100,000 then.

Honestly I'm not sure which is the more impressive car. The ZR1 then or the Z06 now.
