Dyno Tuning

So I got a base run of 367 RWHP @ 6300 RPM and 337 RWTQ @ 5400 RPM. My A/F ratio was reading in the low 10's high 9's through out the run... more so at the top end. The guys at the shop said if it wasn't for the MSD it wouldn't have even fired!

Now I have a new chip and its running in the hiugher 11's to low 13's at WOT... were it should roughly be.

What kind of HP and TQ improvements do you think I can expect. Is 400+ RWHP too much to ask for?

It all depends bro, ussually if you can LIGHT the mixture then you won't see much improvement, I went from high 10's low 11's to high 12's & saw 3rwhp improvement, could of been dyno error at that point, but if you had trouble lighting it, ussually seen on the graph then yeah you should see around 15-20rwhp.

367rwhp is that ACTUAL HP?

What do you mean by "Light the mixture"?

I can't remember 100% but yes, I do beleive its atually RWHP.

(I just sent you the log of my last A/F tests... maybe give you a better idea of whats happening. I can't find my Dyno sheets, I should still have them at home. I'll get them up later today.)

by liting the mixture I mean if you have a strong enough spark to burn the fuel even when that rich, then the gain in RWHP is not that much, most cars gain a ton of power because they couldn't light the fuel when it was that rich so with proper A/F they can & get more power.

Either way you'll see a gain, I looked at the logs, those things need smoothing to read properly, I belive if you get the files you can download a smoothing program for those A/F graphs off INOVATE's website.

hit the dyno and find out its right next to your house man

i think 400 rwhp corrected might be a bit much to ask (just to that you wont be setting high hopes) .. but 375 should be definately there

make sure you tune your timing up on the dyno too
