Duels are mounted

OUT: Borla with Mufflex Y-pipe
In: Mopac built True dual 3 inch exhaust with cats, Dyno-Max 12inch bullets, and turn downs before the axel

I must say I'm very happy with the way things turned out...much better sound, improve ground clearance, definate improvement in power! I've heard that any car with more than 350rwhp is being restricted with single 3inch exhaust, so I guess I qualify.

It also sounds like a TRUE muscle car now that there is no Y-pipe (I guess that when the sound waves come together, it affects the sound of the idle)

For those that want to know, it was a lot more involved process than putting two straight pipes in with mufflers. I had them do some clearancing in various places such as the cross member and frame, and wrap all the brake lines and fuel lines in this aerospace heat tape. I am very pleased with the quality and customer service...they asked what I wanted and thats exactly what I got and they charged exactly what was quoted. For those that want to know, it was $925cdn taxes in for everything from the labour to the special tape to the cats...everything.

You will definately need long tubes to have a set up like this and have a car that isn't lowered more than a stock 96 WS6 (my car)

Sound: Suprizingly quiet at idle with more lumpy sound. At regular operation levels, its loud but not as loud as my borla. At WOT it sounds like a NASCAR and revs WAY faster! Simply awsome. My Buddy James @ Mopac said he never thought he would hear the day he liked the sound of a 4th gen f-body

Andy

PS= I wish I did this sooner!!!

Ouch. That sucks. My was $250 labor, bends, collectors, and mufflers. If you run them right you dont need to mess with the fuel lines. Run both pipes down the passenger side of the torque arm. Then welded both bullet mufflers together.

How loud is it inside the car with the windows up? I am thinking about doing it with my new long tubes.

$925 is with Canadian tax (14.5%), 2 high flow cats and two mufflers. Also I have 3inch pipe....the cats sit too close the the fuel lines and brake lines, so if you doning mind those too things boiling, I guess you could avoid wraping them.

It's pretty loud in the car...I get sick of it to be honest but when this thing gets above 5000rpm, it just SINGS!!!!! Makes me forget the lack of clearance and in car noise.

Yea the true dual setup is deeeep sounding. It drones real bad around 2krpms on mine. Like goin up a hill or something people probably think im on the gas hard but im not, its just loud. Thats with turndowns though so its gonna drone bad bouncing off the ground. I ordered 2 more bullet mufflers today to add to my setup "just" to quietin it down. It's also gonna deeping the sound more, make it quieter at idle and still scream at WOT.

ive seen a lot of "Sweeeet" true duals .. but ud have to drop the rear end and it would cost too much and too many pipes and bends to make it work

email that picture to me though . maybe its simpler than the ones i've seen

id be happy with dumps before the axel like andy's .. keep it simple, less piping, less weight, less money, less hassle
