that was for a trial, untimed 1/8 mile test event at boundary bay... i beat him twice... his is a 97 cobra running 6lbs of intercooled boost. that was 2 months ago. we had another event yesterday and here are my results:

Losses:

1. black talon TSI with 16g turbo running 22lbs boost, dyno'd 350 awhp (he won by a fender)
2. maroon talon TSI - similar mods, lost by 1 car
3. white STI with FP5something turbo upgrade, dyno'd 350 awhp (2 cars back, holy **** that thing can launch)
4. 80's ranger pickup running a built 302 with ET streets and a 50 shot (1/2 car, was pulling back after spinning badly on launch)
5. 98 viper GTS. I was even through first then missed 2nd! oh well he woulda pulled me in 2nd anyway.

Wins:

1. stock Lightning - 2 car win
2. 03 cobra - 2 car win
3. 88 foxbody stang - 4 car win
4. MKIII supra with some upgrades - 2 car win
5. S2000 with an S-trim and other goodies running 11lbs and 350 rwhp (1/2 car)
6. 95 vette stock (3 cars)

top speed recorded during a run was 84 mph. The track was just under an 1/8th mile. Traction wasnt so hot for us RWD cars, no burnouts allowed.

 

I betcha half of those losses , especially the AWD's you probably would have sucked the paint off of it it was a full 1/4. Were you spraying ??

those DSMs and the STi all put down 350awhp or so to the ground so i probably wouldnt catch them. headers and a good speed density tune would likely change things tho.

they launched so well there just wasnt room to catch up on a 600 ft track.

 

No burnouts?? That sucks for guys running slicks

It was a good try tho!! and it does look you were were gaining ground rather fast after say the half way mark...

It sounds like it was a great event and i'm glad to see so much media coverage... It can only get bigger now and I'd say before long (maybe a few years?) there might be a full sized track!!

 

yep I was starting to pull on all of the AWD cars i raced but doubt i would have caught them even in a full 1/4. the viper video sucks.... wish ididnt miss 2nd and shut down!
