Polishing is pretty much like waxing. IMHO its a lot easier than waxing.

You may want to consider clay baring instead. I personally haven't done it yet but my buddy did it and I was amazed with his results!

I dunno man,

cut polishing can mess up your paint job bigtime if a mistake is made (especially on non-flat surfaces). It's hard to screw up waxing that badly...

I've cut polished a couple of small scratches on my car. I was pleased with the results.
I've never used it on anything of any significant size though.......

You just need to work small areas at a time. Like a square foot or something.

I vote for getting it done professionally. Its not worth the hassle for the money it costs...especially when it can ROYALLY mess up your paint if done improperly.

Go with the Zaino system. Dawn the car, claybar, re-wash, Start with Z-5 swirl remover till you get the results you like, then hit it with Z-6 gloss enhancer, then Z-2 polish with ZFX . You don't need an Orbital buffer with the zaino system, just 100% cotten or microfibre towels for buffing it off. Use Z-6 gloss enhancer after every coat of polish. If you have serious scratches you might need a cut-polish from a detailer. Anything deeper and it's off to the paint shop. All you need to get started is claybay, ZFX, Z-2 polish, Z-5 swirl remover, Z-6 gloss enhancer, Z-7 car wash, get Z-9 and Z-10 if you have leather and Z-16 for the tires, this stuff does not slick. Get some nice white detailing towels and zaino applicator pads. Mrak is the man to talk to for zaino. Good luck.
