Is that with new heads and longtubes? Or more or less stock?

How will OBD2 take to that cam?
Does the install require the engine being pulled?
I should know those answers simply from reading here for the last 6 years.

Re: cc305 camshaft for sale

Is somebody on this board capable of doing the tuning for it?
Would it at least run for a while? Or would the tuning need to be done right away before it gets started?

Would it just be easier to go OBD1? How much is that? Where could I get that from?

How long should it take in hours for the cam install?

Re: cc305 camshaft for sale

Additional questions:

Is it used or new?
Is it a roller cam?
Does it come with rockers?
Who makes it? Crane? Comp?

Re: cc305 camshaft for sale

Looks used to me. All hydraulic LT1 cams are roller type. I doubt rockers would be included for that price. It's a comp cam and will run with a stock tune quite well and even pass aircare in OBD1 applications...not sure about OBD2.

Re: cc305 camshaft for sale

yeah .. u dont really need a tune .. emissions not a problem .. but swap with OBDI and get a tune .. u 'll be much happier .. OBDI should run you about $200 tops with knock sensor.. u'll also need pushrods, springs, seats, locks, retainers, valve seals and rockers with that cam. while ur there may as well do ur waterpump and timing chain and opti and wires and plugs. well u must also have headers. but those are just simple mods .. they dont really count. and cat back, and stall if u have an automatic, and gear wont hurt either.

Wow........

It's a shame I don't have $3500 laying around to do that.

I believe I'll just put fuel in my car and drive it as is.

Say - do the head need to come off when doing a cam swap on a LT1? If so - how come?

Only if you're putting on ported ones. I don't know of many engines where you take off the heads for a cam swap
