Of course its BS, its a purely comedic site... Much like the Onion
---------------
SatireWire is a fictionalized, satirical publication. Its content should in no way be interpreted as an actual record of events, unless a story specifically states that its contents are an actual recording of events. These stories are also not intended to be, nor should they be construed as, attempts to predict the future course of any individual or entity, but should be viewed only as parody. SatireWire is not associated with any other news service. Names used in SatireWire stories, unless those of public figures or entities, are fictional, and any resemblance to actual persons or entities is coincidental, unintentional, and accidental. Any event described in SatireWire that actually comes to pass should also be considered coincidental, unintentional, and accidental. And pretty damned amazing.

But yes, funny none the less

Actually, we have a few more than that.
The Halifax class actually has 12 frigates in total. The Tribal class of destroyers has 4 ships, and we probably have another two dozen or so assorted earlier class destroyers from the 1960's. 3/4's of the Canadian fleet (and all the submarines) are posted to the east coast naval yard in Halifax, NS. Because our role in NATO is primarily anti-submarine warfare (ASW), the Navy decided in 1969 to sell our last aircraft carrier HMCS Bonaventure to the Japanese as recycled metal for razor blades.

LMAO! That story was hilarious!
"promised swift action against those found responsible for giving the Canadians guns. Initial findings indicate that the Vancouver crew may have been watching too many American television shows"

yeah, but our CF-18's can beat the hell outta you F-18's
CF-18's are F-18 super-hornets but with advanced thermal imaging sensors for detecting heat sources in cold climates (i.e. submarines under ice, humans lost in tundra, running or recently used vehicles, etc...
Top Gun is dead... Cold Lake RULES!!!

Why you think ford named a car after a rusty old plane lol
Funny how our american friends in washington don't realise that they really are Canadians. The rest of america the 47 states, (excluding alaska and hawaii the freak states) consideres washington state as part of Canada. When I went down to L.A. most americans didn't know where washington state was, so welcome our Canadian friends your dollar may be u.s but in your hearts runs cold Canadian blood.
