Thumbs up Called out Turbo RSx Last Night

Was at the gas station feeding the pig when the gas guy started telling me about his freinds new turbo rsx type s . Anyways have any of you guys heard of this guys car ?? He supposedly races at port kells etc sometimes , its silver and according to the gas guy "fast" He was saying how it beats vettes etc and how it school's all sorts of cars . I left him my name and number to give to the guy so we will see if he will bring it out and line it up . He was loosing credibility the more he talked though . . . . like his buddie had a 2001 trans am and how it could barely pull his probe ( base model non gt version of coarse ) in a race and that the muffler fell off ( I dunno about you but mine was all welded etc ) and the cars the rsx went from killing to " just beating but did beat " and to " older ones " and turbo kit installed turned into " or maybe getting turbo kit installed soon I dunno I havent seen him in a while " and lots of other mods turned into " neons " and " 1000 $ an inch drop kit " Kids are wacked these days

Anyways , If theres a turbo rsx around someone must know . I think this kid is all kinds of dumbass but I called it out either way so we will see I guess

I know someone with a new Acura RSX not to be confused with the mighty NSX. I called him and he said there is no turbo model so he must have modded it on.

I've never heard of/seen a local turbo RSX... most of the aftermarket turbo'd cars around here are '88-'91 Civic/CRXs. Probably 'cause they're so cheap & disposable

Save your bottle... You won't need it!!!
You will absolutely masacre him. RSX type S does the quarter in 14.9 with a professional driver. With a turbo he'll probably gain a second.

Actually... the rsk type-s comes with the K series acura engine, with a few mild street modifications it has the potential to push over 300 hp n/a.

When I say "mild street mods" I DO NOT mean the "arow dynamic park bench spoiler, cold air intake system & the supa sonic nescafe exhaust" <-- (Insert asian accent)... those are "mild rice mods".

But hey, imo imports are NOT speed cars. They are show cars, thier made to look good & then people buy them & make them look better... or at least they think they do

If you want power, I mean REAL power... good ol' american muscle is the only way to go. To me, Nothing... I mean, NOTHING feels better then sitting at a red light, whole car shakin' with the cam, vibrating with the enging & that sound... "glug...glug glug glug... glug glug... glug"... I think I need a towel

Yup I agree , these cars are going to be fast in the right hands . Dude never called me so I guess we know whats up . I had another race with a guy with supposedly a rsx and then it turned into an nsx which was even better so I was getting all stoked , but when they phoned him to arrange it , the car turned ut to be a 95 nissan 240 sx what a waste of gas . . . . thats what you get when a bunch of drunken girls arrange a race for ya

There is no way that motor will make 300hp with mild mods, NA!!
Maybe after a bore and stroke job and headwork it could be done. The import magazines always put these cars on the dyno and show how much each mod makes. After intake, header, exhaust, pulleys, computer controller, cam gears, etc.... They are lucky if they gain 25whp.

I believe the race RSXs RealTime Racing runs make close to 280hp, N/A. Hardly 'mild street mod' territory!

Musky, you're totally right... such a waste of $$$ modding an import, arrgh. Especially when you consider that the average part for an import costs more than the domestic equivalent too! DC header = $500 USD. Headers for a Chev can be had for $250. It ain't right, I tells ya.
