Re: C6 on Top Gear

hahahaha, what a bunch of pussies, "my left foot hurts" he could barely shift the damn thing, time to get gym pass sissie.

and the guy must not be able to know how to drive, he lost to a NSX!!! the NSX's arent known for their quarter mile performances:

http://www.acura.com/models/nsx_specs_results.asp

it makes 290 hp on the manual and 252 on the auto at 6600 rpm and 224 tq manual/ 210 tq auto. it wiegh in at a bit under 3200 lbs.

theres no way the vette should have lost.

i think the brits fixed this review of a american car.

I would agree.

He sure didn't appear to like the car very much at first.
The other "chap" sure didn't at all.

What the hell was that TVR?
That thing rocked them all............apparently.......

If they don't want it - I'll take it.

They just don't like Americans. Seriously - I think its all publicity. Probably a fine car that they tried to "overembellish".

Pity. Only in America you say????

Re: C6 on Top Gear

regardless.. i think the c6 was the cheapest of the bunch and should have atleast come in second. they just love bashing the plastic interior, the composite body and the leaf springs that handled like what the fourth or fifth best of the bunch? not pad for a car that costs 40k pounds.

isnt the vette body hydro formed?

Re: C6 on Top Gear

nope their own site has em listed at over 3100lbs, click the link

NSX MT: 3153 lbs. MT
NSX AT: 3197 lbs. AT

wieght distribution is a sloppy 40/60 too, theres no way it should have beat a c6 in a quarter mile punch.

perhaps the nsx-r is under 3100, but thats a japan only model.

yeah tell me about it, one of those shows on spike, when it was TNN dynoed a 280hp NSX, it dynoed at 230rwhp. your paying for the name, perhaps quality of materials, dont know on its suspension underpinnings though. but still the vette should have smoked it. that jack *** prolly took like 10 seconds between shifts.

Re: C6 on Top Gear

i thought some of the body panels are as well, i read somewhere that GM was starting to use hydro forming on there higher end cars to eliminate multiple body panels, and for the vette its supposed to eliminate gaps in the body for aerodynamics.
