Bought a vette =)

Hey guys,

I was thinking of a new car for awhile now. I wanted something pimped but I didn't wanna lose my firebird for daily driving.

So my neighbour asked me if I wanted to halfers on one. He bomb's around in his Jetta, I've got my bird so it worked out perfect. It's strictly a cruise and pick up bitch car.

Since we went halfers we went all out =). 2003 50th Anniversary Edition Convertible Vette. That anniversary dark red color with the shale interior and shale convertible top. Loaded to the *******. 6 speed, 11kms on it...the thing is sick!!! We pick it up on Friday, we plan to get a lot out of this car...not only performance, but more importantly.....bitches. The summer will be a sick one!

We pick it up on Friday, but if it's raining we're waiting for a sunny day...All together with tax it came to $102,861. The thing looks absolutely sick. That paint job looks nuts, 12 disc changer, the new suspension, everything....I'll post pics soon.

Thanks guys,

Yeah about the modding. We're not sure if we wanna mod it too much since its the anniversary. I know we're not gonna change out the stereo in it, we have my firebird for that. It would be nice with a complete aftermarket exhaust though

I'm not sure what the performance gains will be with stuff like that...like air intake, heads, exhaust etc etc

I'll post pics as soon as we get it.

Nice car..only one problem....Vette equals 2 seats....no room for bitches (dictionary meaning "dogs")...so let's say ladies for now ..anyway....what happens when they find out you only own half the car or you guys need it on the same day...this could cause a bad relationship....did I mention nice car...oh ya nice car..congrats

Thumbs up

Beautiful car...

I couldn't imagine sharing though. Its all or nothing for me. If I want to mod and my partner doesn't, things would go sour fast. But, if you can swing it, that's good. Way too much of a commitment for me though!

Btw, you could have bought three Camaro SSes brand new for that amount of money... or just 1, and put it in the 9's... That's a heap load of money. Still, the vette will still be quite the magnet.

THERE IS STILL TIME man .. GET THE Z06

WOW nice car. I STILL think this thread is a joke, BUT if you're serious then congratulations. Like Ewan said, why not just buy a 97 C5 each? The car's 99% the same as the Ann. Edition, plus you have the security of owning your own vehicle.

Anyways, if this is real, congrats .

Well done on the Vette!

How are you guys going to work the insurance?
It has to be in the owner's name, so who's the owner?
A couple of these suggestions were good........a couple of 1997's would be cool - or possibly a new Z06.
Have fun!
