This is a good way to start:

Cold Air Intake
Headers (AS&M, SLP, FLP's)
Exhaust
Throttle Body By-Pass FREE
Adjust the tune with LT1 edit. Lean it out a bit, fans, etc....

Also get all the suspension goodies, they aren't that much and they make a huge difference. Give Mike at Stealth a shout of some BMR stuff; Shouldn't cost you more than $700cdn for all of it.
BMR Tubular Lower Control Arms
BMR Adjustable Pan Hard Rod
BMR Lower Control Arm Brackets
BMR Boxed Subframe Connectors

I am assuming it is a 6spd so I would say get a shifter. If it is Auto get a 2800 TC, any auto car should have an Aftermarket TC, best mod I have ever done

Once that get's boring --> Nitrous

I say headers and NOS, headers go for MAC's unless he is going heads and cam later on. MAC's will provide awsome power up to 350 rw.

Fipk as good for Lt1's as LS1's ??

I have her down for

Lous short stick
Jet skip shift elliminator
SLP loudmouth / hooker catback
Fipk cold air intake
underdrive ?? << whatcha think here

Ignition upgrades << What about an msd ??

Good info , her suspension feels like a cadillac compared to mine . I feel every bump and hers just rides on a clowd of marsh mallow tires and cushie springs . That has to go for sure

Underdrive pulley is kinda of a toss up, some people have had nothing but problems with them while others have made some power, definately not worth what they sell for I have one on my car didn't notice anything. I may be able to get my hands on a cheap one, I will check this weekend.

The FIPK and headers will be the most noticable gains, both totally worth it and IMO a necessity

Between those two exhaust choices I would get the Hooker, the tips look better

Ignition is not really necessary but no harm in getting one, although I would wait until you get a bottle or blower

Intake/Headers/Exhaust/Suspension First

headers... hotcam kit .. 4.10s .. thats all he needs .. all the other sh*t is just mumbo jumbo ... thats ur best bang for the buck other than nitrous ...

jet skipshift chip .. give me a break

if ur gettin someone to tune it .. tune out the skip shift .. THATS the proper way of doing it .. the skipshift thing is still mickey mousing it ...

mumbo jumbo

So get headers to let out air that the stock air box can't even suck in

Get a cam to add more power and gears that ignite tires but don't get any suspension to put that power down......

If you want to do it right cover a little of each base no point building a car that has a lot of power but everything else is sacrificed, build an all around girl. The 95 belongs to a girl doesn't it?

What kind of solid , real world power gains do you think the fipk and catback give on an LT1

I know on my car I did the catback just for sound but I heard on stock Z's theres some power to be had ??

I agree with 4.10's for her . She cant break em cause she drives like my mom wacked on sedatives

Great info guys

The FIPK is good for about 8-10Hp rear wheel

The exhaust is good for 5-8hp from the exhaust, that would be about 260-265 at the wheels.

man .. a CAI isnt even a damn mod .. its expected to be there before anything else starts .. its implicitly included in the list of mods .. i dont even think of it as being there as a mod .. its still a bone stock car if it only has a CAI and catback .. so ok .. go ADD IT TO THE LIST OF MODS

and as for suspension .. stock suspension is damn near the best for hooking ... look at houman's old car .. hooked like a **** on those firehawk tires... all u need suspension wise is LCAs if u have wheelhop .. the rest is far from bang for the buck unless u start hardcore racing it

in all honesty, suspension doesnt do SH*T for putting power down unless u have some sticky tires .. unless u go radical and get drag suspension to have weight transfer ... the rest of it is mumbo jumbo for the street (putting power down wise . not handeling)

Ok I will let you slide Bone stock is the way it came from factory

Can't go wrong with all the suspension it is so cheap, and well I believe the car is a convert so subframes would be good. The brackets make a difference on getting the power down

I will show you this weekend at the track when I cut you out of the hole

Yes it's quite funny, funny that he has nothing to do with this thread.

Back on track with the mods, I would still go with MAC's for headers, cheap affordable and easy plug access. My MAC's are pretty much sold to "1quickgt" unless I pull them out and see that they are in immaculent condition asd ask a higher price for them.
