Thumbs up BCTFB Meet

It was a great day, we had a good turnout of cars and well the weather was great (Just a little too cold ). Now we have the basics figured out for the club and well we will get things together very soon to keep moving forward with this. I would like to Thank Mike P.(SleeperZ) once again for setting up an awesome lunch for us and the food was awesome as usual

The cruise was fun and well there were some very interesting battles along the way I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and well we should have a lot more cars out for the next meet

If there is anything anyone would like to discuss with me regarding the club or if you have any ideas that weren't brought up at the meeting feel free to e-mail me with your thoughts.

Thank You Everyone, for making this a success

It was a good meeting. I think we're on our way to starting something. I can't wait to see our web site and forum.

I look forward to the car show ideas. I found that I do have an extensive list of almost ALL shows along the west coast (500 shows or so) which I can pass on our help out with. I have done a number of shows in the past and have a good contact list. I'll be glad to help out (sorry I didn't volunteer earlier).

I think we have to work on the Cruise ideas a little more though. The following is meant to be constructive criticism (and I'm not bashing anyone - this was our first real cruise as a semi-formal group and you expect a few hiccups). The route was long and sceneic (aka nice woman everywhere).

First, do NOT show up without any friggin gas in your car and then get everyone driving into the gas station - that screws things up fast. Show up with a full tank.

Second, let's try to avoid those areas where we're going to hit red lights every 30 seconds. It really defeats the purpose of a cruise when you're spending all your time idling.

Third, on long cruises like we did today, we should have a brief map for everyone roughly outlining the route and rendezvous sites. Not important on short sites, but we should have a printed list of where we are going (for guys like me that don't listen and even forget what they DO hear...).

Most importantly, we need radios and cell phone #'s for all - cell phones most important. We should each have a list of each other's cell phones. I suggest that we get a club list for our use that has cell and home phone numbers for all, including email.

*** But, my greatest thanks though to those of you who brought their lady friends along. Good cars aren't anything without some beautiful eye candy to go along with it... ***

I agree, but practice makes perfect. Hey Johnny, we need a secratary, (preferably a hotty) to make notes of of all of this. Although it was a fairly good route, and we didn't realize the extent of the traffic, I agree a preplanned trip with maps, etc would be great.

Well I had a fun day......thanks mike for the food.....yummy shrimp......so yeah the cruise was fun, even though I was one of the slowest cars out there. Alot of things happened including people getting lost, armen getting cut off.....and then we both gave this chick the finger....had a little fun with an old ferrari...but the best part was the ubc highway...!!!!..when certain battles occured...we should have another cuise after next meeting..hopefully more of you will come out and we can meet some new faces.......did I miss anything after I left?......well anyways nice day everyone....cheers

Well acctually I want a rematch, since me & mike took out the cat-back I felt a huge gain same power I had day 1, except running out of fuel.

But basicly the first time I had Payam & slowed down not to hit the car infront of me, the second time I had the jump & he didn't go (wuss) the third time he had a huge jump & than I guned it, than our cars just stayed even speed but he was like 1.5 car length ahead by than & he let off after a bit, now that my car feels great again I'd like a rematch but I'm thinking I need 3.73's like Payam cuz every time he jumped it was a nice jump.

Also aparently Payam said he held it in second & than guned it, I ddin't know cuz I couldn't hear his car since mine is loud too, but I would have it in neutral & after he'd gun it I'd drop it & floor it, I should have kept it in 2nd & floored it, but ohh well.

Point is, which ever one of our cars is faster its not by much at all or even. I am planning on switching my cam though, Dyno2000 says I will gain 20RWHP just by swtiching over to a cc306 & about 23RWHP by switching over to a GM 847 cam which is 234/242, even a 225/236 cam makes 10 RWHP more than my cam with my heads according to dyno2000 because my flow numbers are 287/201 which is 70% intake/exhaust ratio.

Reason I installed the cam is it was free I knew it won't take advantage of my setup but I had & still have no money.

Soon though, I am getting a GM 847 cam, but now I wanna go G-tech my car again since it feels so much better without the cat-back.

I would answer that toddski but your big black a$$ was in the way, hehehe...

Kept trying to smuggle around to sneak a peak past you and craig but no luck andy is a poor navigator and a horrible passenger.

I have a list here of most of the local events... I will have to find it and post it. I definatly 2nd ChriSS on the maps, cellphone, come to a cruise with some fuel etc. I suggest the next cruise be a more driving orientated cruise, none of this downtown core stuff. Other than that good show guys.
