Battery question...

...the cars been sitting for a while...a month now and it has not been started...and over the course of the last 8 months it's maybe been driven 800 km....anyway..the battery is new..the dealership replaced it 3000 km ago...anyway...it was so dead today...no green light on the battery and I did run it for about 5 minutes then it got too loud so I shut it off...but still no green light...any input people?

...is the battery toast?

If you can get warranty on it do so. Otherwise charge it with a trickle charger and see if it comes back. That new of a battery should come back, but its life has been reduced by a bit.

Sure , it will be more than enough crank for a tracker , the only thing would be fiting it

You would need to charge it for more than a day with the trickle charger.
Your best bet for if/when this happens again is to jump the car with a large battery charger and then go for a good drive - to Canadian tire and buy their automatic trickle charger for 40bucks, then drive home and start charging with it.
Everytime I park my car in my garage I throw the charger on. This ensures I get maximum life out of my batteries.

Don't be tempted to buy the manual trickle charger, it won't shut itself off and you could cook your battery.

The battery is not really a daily driver battery but if you do not have huge stereo stuff and other things you should be fine.

what happens if u take out ur battery while the car is running !?

i assume the alternator creates enough current to keep a car going AND charge the battery .. so if the absence of the battery doesnt upset the flow of current .. then the car should run properly without the battery !!

that thing must weight 30-40 lbs
