Exclamation Battery Group Purchase

Who's interested in Optima 'Red Top' batteries? We need a minimum purchase of *6* to get the $118 (plus tax) price.

The red tops are the same weight (33lbs) and the same size as the stock GM battery, but they are far superior with no off-gassing and the ability to mount in any direction- even sideways or upside down. The price again, is $118 plus tax.

ps. The batteries mount the same way and have top and side terminals like the GM one.

So i need everyone to confirm with me this week, and we can set it to get them.

Reserve Capacity - 90
Length 9 5/16"

Based on the part number, the specs i listed are correct... As for the slight variation on weight, perhaps packaging is inculded or something... Minor difference all the same...

Whats the cost normally? I'm interesting in how much we're saving

thanks for setting this up!

three down, three to go.

I'll try to get it set up directly at the shop, so that we can go in and pick 'em up directly. I'll keep you all posted.

What is the rating on these batteries as far as life expectancy goes? 6yrs? 7yrs?

Mine lasted 2 years, then it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Mike's didn't last too long either. Basically (in my experience) if you ever drain it completely, it'll recharge back up, but drain while the car is off. In several day spans of non-driving (3-4) my car would be dead on it's own.

Not trying to scare you off though, it's a good battery until you drain it.

I'm scared a little bit because I run my stereo with the car off. My 02 battery has needed a jump twice already. It seems to be fine now. I just pulled the f-body out of the garage to give it a warm up in the driveway after not starting it for weeks. I'm gonna hold off getting a new battery until I need one so count me out on the this purchase.

Ok, warrenty is now an issue with me

I just read Mike's comment in the other battery thread and i'm scared of the Red tops and their supposed? lack of warrenty...

Stealth, can you confirm if there is or isn't one?

Thanks!

jeff

also, i do think the Yellow tops are much better for drainage issues, or i think thats what i read on their site?
