AutoX in Portland March 9

The first event will be March 9 Sunday at Portland International Raceway in the pro pits. This will be practice only, no points. Helmets available in all sizes for all who may need them. It would be nice to see some other Camaro/Firebirds out there. Stock will run in AM and modded in the PM. Need to be there by 7:30am or noon for modded cars. This is alot of fun and if you never tried it before you'll be surprised how challenging it is. Also you driving skill will go up quite fast. Cost is only $20 for SCCA members and $25 for non members. It will still happen even if it rains as there's some hardcores out there. If you don't care to try it in the rain I don't blame you. Even low powered light cars have trouble. Here's the schedule for Portland:

Dang, I just checked the weather and its suppose to be raining.. If so, I may not bother.. but if i go, since my car is in Street Modified, cause of the subframe connectors, I'll try to show up in the afternoon..

Do you ever goto autox's done by the Williamette car club? There's always a fast C4, and occasionally two mean and fast looking 3rd gens .

Ken: Modded cars run in the afternoon anyway. If it's raining I wouldn't care to bother as you obviously can't get any traction. I've not run any other autocrosses but am sure I will as I enjoy it alot. Let me know if you are going to go out even if it's raining and I'll come by also.

Did you end up going? I didn't..

Willamette Motor Club has an local event on the 23rd in Salem, OR.. There's usually a few f-bod's that show up there.. and a whole slew of smaller cars.

Unfortunantly, I'll be in Miami that weekend.
