Just needed to know how you got rid of the automatic light function on the T/A? I think it has something to do with aluminum foil? Can you provide any info? Much appreciated

it's real easy. If you look on your dash you'll see a rounf insert that houses the light sensor. It's right around the defog vent. Just pry up that part of the dash (not the insert) and you'll see a little plug in that goes to the insert. Turn that plug so that it pulls out. Kind of like a push in light bulb. When you get it out, you'll see what looks like a flat blue bulb in the socket . Pull that out and grab some aluminum foil. I used the aluminum from the inside of a cigarette pack and burnt off the paper layer. Anyways, fold up the aluminum foil, u only need maybe a 1/2 " x 1/2" square. Push the foil inbetween the connectors in the plug. Make sure that the aluminum is in there fairly snug and is making contact with the aluminum. Turn the car in and release the e-brake. If the lights go on automatically, the foil isn't making contact. If the lights don't go on, u have suceeded in making the car think that the sun is shing 24 hous a day! Now comes the fun part, putting the plug back into the dash. I recommend doing it no matter how frustrating it gets. Mostly because if it gets bumpy in your car the aluminum may dislodge and fall out if you jus tleave it hanging. If you have thin or nimble hands u are lucky! Anyways that is it. You can now have control ovr your lights. I find the car looks much meaner riding around with just the foglights at night, although it is illegal
if you have any other questions, give me a call - 604-808-5327 or if u need help, I may be able to come by although it shouldn't take you more than 1/2 hour
